Roaring Lion Inn, named for the roaring stream nearby, is nestled at the base of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area. Yet this carefully constructed cedar home in the woods is only 5 minutes from the village of Hamilton, built in the 1890’s at the foot of the Bitterroot mountains. The large rooms of the inn have outside private entrances, gas log fireplaces and are handicapped accessible. All rooms are decorated in fine western antiques and have private bathrooms. The largest of the guest rooms has a jacuzzi, mini-fridge and microwave. Delicious hearty breakfasts included. Beverages and snacks anytime! Free VCR movies.

Our homey Inn is in the forest only five minutes from historic, picturesque Hamilton Montana. We are located in the Bitterroot Valley between the Bitterroot- Selway and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness (the two largest protected wilderness areas in the contiguous U.S.), but only one hour from Missoula International Airport. Other local cities and towns are: Florence, Victor, Stevensville, Corvallis and Darby.
Only minutes to renown trout fishing, hunting, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, downhill and cross county skiing, snowmobiling and all terrain cycling; all in the Bitterroot Valley and surrounding National Forest.
Appointed with antiques we've collected over the years and locally handcrafted pine furniture, our guest rooms are individually decorated.
Each of our rooms has an outside entrance and exceptional bathrooms (one with jetted tub), and a gas log fireplace.
A hearty breakfast is served with each nights stay. There is fine dining in nearby Hamilton.
Your hosts can provide assistance with sightseeing in the valley. There are many historical locations and points of interest.
Our home and guest rooms are all wheelchair accessible.
